Dear Suggestion,

I recently noticed that our school’s students are incredibly divided. We tend to isolate ourselves to our friend groups and never reach out to each other. How can we make a better school environment?

Yours Truly,

Catalyst

Dear Catalyst,

Kindness goes a long way, our school environment would see a lot of positive change. On our campus we should strive to make a safe environment. It never hurts to share some kind words with your peers, build each other up and support one another. We are all part of the T-town family, encourage one another and be kind. As a united front no one can beat T-town!!!

Question #2

Dear Suggestion,

I recently have been participating in conditioning, in hopes of getting on the tennis team. I am concerned about balancing my sports and academic life. I really need some solid advice to help me manage my responsibilities.

Your truly,

Stressed

How can students manage their time between school, sports and extracurricular?

Dear Stressed,

High School can be a difficult time in a student’s life. As they navigate the channels of their teen years, they attempt to juggle their personal lives with sports, extracurricular and academics. The best method is prioritizing, essentially put first things first. Complete activities that require immediate attention and that require larger amount of time. Most importantly avoid procrastination; this is truly the devil. Time management will be a students greatest tool, proper use of this tool helps prevent any last minute rushing to finish homework assignments. With these simple tools, a student may effectively balance extracurricular, sports and academics.
